Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 marks the last of a three-sermon series where we're talking about "Dreaming God's Dreams for the Future of FC FUMC." I'll be talking specifically about the "5 Areas of Focus," the part of the Long Range Plan most recently approved and adopted by the FC FUMC Church Council, that will describe the tools we'll use to cultivate the soil between our "Mt. Nebo and the Promised Land." (Thanks, Pastor Bryson, for that great imagery from Exodus 32 you used in your sermon last Sunday, 9/16!)
Over the next ten years, we will be focusing on cultivating powerful ministries of
Music & Worship
Outreach & Service
Education & Nurture
Growth & Retention ("Membership Cultivation")
Leadership, Finances – I’m going to use the term Stewardship (to indicate Finances – PLUS time, prayer, presence, witness), and Facilities
There is a great deal of detail written into the Long Range Plan on each of these areas of focus, and I would refer interested persons to the Chair of our Long Range Planning Committee, or to one of our Church Council Co-chairs for a copy of the document. A call to our Church Office will get you started in the right direction.
God's blessings to all,
Steve
